We will always be there with you every step of the way to guarantee your special moments are captured for all time. Photography to us is about capturing your real, authentic and genuine self and allowing us to paint a picture of that moment to remember it forever.
I grew up in the greater Boston area with a love for travel, art and culture! Both of my parents were Haitian immigrants who worked hard and faced many adversities to make a life for themselves and their family. I witness how much they sacrificed to achieve their goals all the while being present for my siblings and me. My dad always made it his mission to capture all the mundane and special moments in my childhood. My mother ensured that we learn about the arts such as music and dance as well as travel to be exposed to different cultures and experiences. I grew up loving the arts such as theater, music, poetry, art, and learning about different cultures.
I attended The University of Massachusetts, Amherst and obtained my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Public Health and later my Masters in Mental Health Counseling. at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. I enjoy counseling because it allows me to work with people and help them on their healing journey to become their best self. I have the unique opportunity to aid a person in seeing the beauty in who they are while also helping them to cope and heal with life stressors and trauma.
I am sure you’re wondering, how does this all tie into photography? That’s such a great question and I am so glad you asked!
Photography to me captures so much of our human behavior and I have the opportunity to showcase the best and most authentic moments of your life. We’ve all had a time where we look back at a photo and in that moment, we can remember where we were, what season of life we were in, how it made us feel and all these emotions that can be evoked in just a single image. We can appreciate an image for what it is and can imagine the story behind it. Photoshoots are also therapeutic for you. It can be a remedy that can aid you to grow in love, confidence, and appreciation and we like to create that space.
I love serving my clients in the most authentic, beautiful, and captivating moments in their lives regardless of what stage of life they are in. I find joy in being apart of your journey and getting to know you and the moments you want me to capture.
I am a cat lover! Yes I said it, I love all animals but my cat, Prince, has a special place in my heart.
I love all kinds of food, especially my Haitian food! It’s the best there is, but then again, I could be a little bias lol
Favorite place I’ve traveled to is hands down Malaga, Spain. I love everything about the culture, the art, and the beauty of the city. If you haven’t gone, trust me, put it on your travel bucket list.
I love my family, friends and church. Community is so important and I love connecting with all kinds of people and having a support system is a must!
I love binge watching a great tv series, an action film and you guessed it a Rom com. I wouldn’t be a wedding photographer if I didn’t love Love!
I am an avid tea drinker. You can catch me drinking tea especially in the fall and winter months everyday with my all-time favorite Masala Chia tea.
Miss Gee was especially amazing with our children, who had a great time. She helped to find the best light and backgrounds in our home for our holiday pictures and for a family portrait. We started the holiday photo process very late, so we particularly appreciated her getting our photos to us in a short time frame. We are so thankful that we found her!
MissGee Photography is wonderful! Responsive and friendly, Gerdine puts you at ease during the shoot and creates vibrant photos of you and your loved ones.
This is the 1st photographer I have met that was professional, kind, and had lots of patience with my two young daughters. Gerdine was flexible and responsive to all my questions and date changes. I will be booking with her again in the future. Thank you again Gerdine!!
